Pinnacle Creek flows down from the BC Rockies into the Columbia River, just east of KNP. Further upstream from where this photo was taken I came across a Grizzly bear. I walked up behind it, and the bear didn't notice me. I carefully retraced my footsteps until I was a safe distance away and then I made as much noise as I could. After a while I continued down the trail and the bear was (luckily) gone.
